Press Quotes
“Allen hits the mark, with an effusive mix of biting satire and gleeful mud-slinging that recalls Russell Howard by way of Ian Hislop. More than worth a look.” ★★★★ – Three Weeks
“What was evident here, is the performer is quality, his mockery, and the excellent use of accents combined with clever voice-over interaction; is a performer with masses of talent.” – Fringe Review
“His improvisation was impressive, topical jokes quick and practised on his tongue to mix up with his banter with the audience. This is a tight, upbeat show that I would recommend going to see.” – Broadway Baby

Show Opener Caroline Mabey
One of the most inventive comic voices in Britain, Caroline Mabey is a fringe and circuit favourite, appearing at festivals, theatres and clubs all around the country. Silly, warm and sharp as hell, she always creates a gag-packed frenzy of fun. She is a brilliant and accomplished MC, having been resident compere at the 99 Club for ten years.
‘Mabey is thoroughly enjoyable company…the slightly deranged offspring of a menage a trois between Vic Reeves, Harry Hill and Floella Benjamin’
Evening Standard
‘A mischievous, kooky talent’
Time Out
‘Fabulous off-the-wall lines…will endure in the memory long after you’ve forgotten every word from the big-name stand-ups’
Chortle
‘No-one has made us laugh as much at this Fringe’
The Skinny
Middle Act Don Biswas
On the surface Don Biswas is a straight forward and old fashioned gag merchant. However, he does talk about a wide variety of unique subjects from having Dyspraxia, A.D.H.D and mild Asperger’s Syndrome (learning difficulties that effect coordination, concentration and social skills). Also thrown into the mix is politics, interwoven with conspiracy theories, for that extra punch.
When discussing politics Don very much takes an alternative view on the subject, thus talking about the lack choice available in the current system, mainstream media censorship to conspiracy theories, among other topics. However, all of this is done in a tongue and check way, with plenty of gags, meaning he is able to play to a wide variety of rooms.
His comedy has lead him to be a part of Abnormally Funny People a specialist comedy show for comics, who talk about their disabilities and difficulties. Don also has done school’s tour support (only for certain dates) for comedian John William’s solo shows My Son’s not Rainman. He also did his debut Edinburgh show Left-Wing Conspiracy Theorist with Dyspraxia in 2017. See reviews below. He has also done stand up on Radio 4 for the 13 million club and next year has a 30 minute stand up special coming out on the station.
