Remember, we don’t sell tickets on the door of Jaggers Comedy, so make sure you book in advance for the show 🙂
Headline act Gerry Kyei
Anecdotal, observational and refreshingly honest in style, Gerry’s comedy is enriched by a somewhat unique perspective: Real name Gerry Kyei (pronounced “Chay”), Gerry was born in the East End, but grew up in rural Essex, as a rare black face in an almost totally white and very parochial area (a million miles away from the traditional Essex stereotype towns like Harlow, Basildon, Romford and Southend). In addition to providing some truly original insights into life in rural England, these early experiences have ensured Gerry’s comedy delights an incredible range of audiences often confounds expectations.
Starting in comedy as the result of a dare, his rise to headline act was a quick one, scooping a range of accolades along the way including; The Comedy Store’s ‘King Gong’, Metrolife Comedy Newcomer, and The Comedy Café’s Best Newcomer Awards.
“Gerry K was fabulous – super entertainer and a lovely guy. We’re all still talking about the evening and remembering some of his jokes – very very funny :o) star player – hope to seem him at ‘Live at the Apollo’ soooooooooooon. Cheers and thanks again” Proctor & Gamble
“Gerry was fab and everyone thought so. I have only heard good things from the night and my boss thought he was very good and he is hard to please. Thank Gerry on mine and my guests behalf, he was fab” 92 Squadron Hullavington
Show MC Noel Brodie
Comedian Noel Brodie is one of the UK’s brightest young comedians with an act suitable for any audience from holiday centres, comedy clubs and cruise ships to corporate events, theatre and television. Noel’s ‘on camera’ TV work includes ‘Live From Jethros’, ‘Laugh A Minute’ and ‘The Big Laugh Show’. Whatever the type of comic you are looking for, rest assured you need look no further because Noel Brodie is your man.
