Chortle Student Comedy Award Finalist 2009
Paramount Comedy On Tap Funniest Student Finalist 2009
Comedian, actress and writer Laura Lexx is a uniquely gleeful performer who indulges her audience in an unrelenting childish attention. After a whirlwind introduction to the London comedy scene which saw her reach the finals of both the Chortle and Paramount student competitions in her first year, Lexx has been building on her early successes with gig dates across London and the UK.
She has a quirky, Somerset spin on the world and is happy to relax with the audience and take any subject from a frank discussion of her struggles with IBS to the televisual preferences of sleeping bags. Yes, sleeping bags. Laura Lexx built up her initial stage confidence as part of an improvised comedy troupe, leaving her with the skill and confidence to build up a quick rapport with the audience as a compere.
Show MC Noel Brodie
Comedian Noel Brodie is one of the UK’s brightest young comedians with an act suitable for any audience from holiday centres, comedy clubs and cruise ships to corporate events, theatre and television. He seems to effortlessly bridge that old age gap between ‘mainstream’ and ‘alternative’ with a blend of observational and off the cuff improvisational material, plus some intelligent parodies. Noel’s ‘on camera’ TV work includes ‘Live From Jethros’, ‘Laugh A Minute’ and ‘The Big Laugh Show’. Whatever the type of comic you are looking for, rest assured you need look no further because Noel Brodie is your man. His warmth on stage, quick wit and impeccable delivery make him a very popular act at home and overseas.
More recently Noel has been touring theatres alongside football icon Harry Rednapp.
