The best in and longest running Bournemouth Comedy Club 🙂
Always an awesome line up at Jaggers Stand-Up show. The best comedians in town. This week, the performers are: Danny Ward, Aideen McQueen, Mark Cram & Aaron Levene.
Headline act Danny Ward
Observational comedian, writer and presenter Danny Ward's humour is up-beat and well honed, and his manic style of delivery is both endearing and very funny. With a high energy set and brilliantly well observed material covering everything from the randomness of the Lidl, to how to get the 'London Look' the gags keep coming. Danny has been booked throughout the UK by all the major comedy clubs and has also completed two tours performing to returning troops.
His hit Edinburgh Festival shows - Pressure Point in 2013 and Infra Dig in 2014 - where he regaled his audiences with tales of living, and escaping from, his Auntie Annie's conservatory, won him rave reviews.
Danny was the winner of the 2013 Amused Moose People's Choice Award for Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe and was a Nominee for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2013
'Delightfully clever punchlines¦ He endears himself with an engaging if unusual style of language. Wordy but accessibly so, he throws in sneaky puns and well-hidden one-liners that reward the
Show MC Aideen McQueen
Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and side-splittingly funny.
Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.
She has performed at many festivals including The Vodafone Comedy Festival,The Electric Picnic Festival and Prague Comedy Festival. In 2019 she had two sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Show Opener Mark Cram
With both a strong set and solid MCing ability, stand up comedian Mark Cram thrills crowds with his tales of dead-end jobs, his family, and being the less than grateful winner of Bedford Comedian of the Year.
In addition to playing comedy clubs throughout the UK, Mark has supported more well-known comedians, including Gary Delaney, Shazia Mirza and Nick Helm. He has performed at the Edinburgh Festival in both a mixed-bill show and his own solo stand up show.
Middle Act Aaron Levene
Since March 2014 Aaron has worked his way up through the comedy circuits, and is now performing paid 20-minute sets in professional clubs around the country as well as Berlin, Barcelona, and Paris. Praised for his likeability, honesty, and joke telling, Aaron uses his strange but true-life story, transforming it into comedy.
" The woefully self-deprecating comic Aaron Levene was next. He was the highlight of the set, letting the audience into his love life. The Uncle Fester lookalike confessed to struggling in the dating world, being more into M&Ms than S&M, and provided the best one-liner of the afternoon; there’s orange Jews and lemon Jews, some people find them a little Hassidic. "Acidic Wit" **** Edinburgh Reporter
Aaron is a pro - with very funny expertly crafted material coupled with an endearing and engaging performance. We have consistently booked Aaron for 20-minute spots and look forward to having him on future bills. - Ric Wharton Comedy Knights
