Chortle Student Comedy Award Finalist 2009
Paramount Comedy On Tap Funniest Student Finalist 2009
Comedian, actress and writer Laura Lexx is a uniquely gleeful performer who indulges her audience in an unrelenting childish attention. After a whirlwind introduction to the London comedy scene which saw her reach the finals of both the Chortle and Paramount student competitions in her first year, Lexx has been building on her early successes with gig dates across London and the UK.
She has a quirky, Somerset spin on the world and is happy to relax with the audience and take any subject from a frank discussion of her struggles with IBS to the televisual preferences of sleeping bags. Yes, sleeping bags. Laura Lexx built up her initial stage confidence as part of an improvised comedy troupe, leaving her with the skill and confidence to build up a quick rapport with the audience as a compere.
An avid writer, she has also produced and directed several stage plays at University, which were well received and allowed her to express a more serious side to her performance skills. She continues to build an eager online following with her blog and has had recent success at the Edinburgh Fringe after developing a brand new panel show format, Quiz in My Pants, which delighted guest acts and audiences equally.
Show MC Matthew Baylis
Matthew has travelled the globe with his own unique brand of unashamedly middle class comedy, sharing stories of growing up and getting old in the leafy suburbs of middle England.
With more than half a decade on the comedy circuit Matthew has gigged with the great and the good of UK comedy including Harry Hill, Milton Jones, Andy Parsons, Reginald D Hunter, Kevin Bridges and many others. He has also performed at comedy clubs and festivals across the land as well as in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
As a father of six he draws much of his humour from tales of parenthood which ring true with audiences of all ages.
Matthew works as support act, and headliner and is a highly experienced Compere/MC both in comedy clubs and for charity and corporate events. In addition he has recently completed a television pilot in which he is the host.
He also runs various professional comedy nights â mostly in the South of England.

Show Opener Russell Arathoon
Russelâs first gig was at the notorious King Gong at the Manchester Comedy Store. He went on to win it and then followed it up later that year with a semi final appearance in the Manchester Comedian Of The Year Competition.
Now residing in London, Russell is regularly popping up at prestigious clubs such as Top Secret & Up The Creek, as well as sharing the stage with acts such as Joe Lycett, Sean Walsh and even the chatty man himself Alan Carr.
In 2018 Russell made his Edinburgh Fringe debut with his critically acclaimed show âThe Curious Incidents Of The Gay In The Night Timeâ. Since then Russell has gone on to perform at festivals all over the country including Leicester, Nottingham, Manchester & Brighton. He even appeared on the Glee Cardiff Pride Stage alongside Robert White in 2019.
