Headline act Alan Francis
Scottish comedian ALAN FRANCIS first came to the notice of comedy audiences when he won Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny Award in 1991. Since then his reputation has grown as a writer, stand-up and actor.
His diverse acting roles include the award winning play PENETRATOR at the Royal Court and Traverse Theatre. In 1995 he co-wrote and co-starred in JEFFREY DAHMER IS UNWELL at the Edinburgh Festival. The play was critically acclaimed and transferred to the Hampstead Theatre in London. He appeared in MISS CONCEPTIONS at the1996 Edinburgh Festival and has completed successful runs in both THE BEST OF SCOTTISH COMEDY and THE BEST OF SO YOU THINK YOU'RE FUNNY? In 2002 he presented his one-man show CLOBBERED (a black comedy) at the Edinburgh festival where it received rave reviews. Last year he appeared in TAKE A CHANCE ON ME (A New End Hampstead Theatre Production).
What the press said about 'Clobbered'

"A delightfully sour hour, excellently executed" EVENING STANDARD
Show MC Aaron Simmonds
Aaron Simmonds has been failing to stand up for 30 years; luckily he is far better at comedy than standing up. He has a unique perspective on life, usually of people's belly buttons, which gives him stories to tell, and a sore neck.
Simmonds’s comedic style is story-based, with clever one-liners interspersed throughout. He offers sharply-observed comedy which is grounded in his disability, but is by no means limited by it. Amiable, likeable and with a commanding presence on stage, Aaron is an exciting talent and is destined for great things.
Aaron performed his critically-acclaimed debut show, Disabled Coconut, at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019. It detailed a complicated relationship alongside the absurdity of “competitive disability”. Some people have got the idea, he explains, that because of his upper body strength and background in sport, he is “not disabled enough
" This show has the best, the most beautifully constructed and the most unexpectable narrative line of pretty much any I have seen...his hour belts along on wheels of laughter. " ★★★★ The Scotsman
" Amiable, likeable, and a commanding presence on stage, Aaron Simmonds is an exciting talent. " ★★★★ Broadway Baby
Show Opener Martin Westgate
Martin is fast becoming a staple of the East Anglian comedy scene and beyond. An accomplished MC and performer Martin is making waves in the comedy scene gigging for some of the most recognised promoters in the country. In 2018 he appeared on well known talent show Britain's Got Talent, and although wasn't very successful (understatement) learnt loads and has developed his act massively with much better success.
Martin is one of the 'go to' acts in Norfolk, supporting Gary Meikle and Carl Hutchinson on their Norwich legs of their tours.
